Alexander……. began his career with a four-year apprenticeship in his hometown of Melbourne, Australia. During that time, Alexander worked closely and developed a long-standing relationship with stylist Edward Beale. In 1970, Alexander moved to London to study precision haircutting under the direction of Stephen Way, located on the fashionable New Bond Street………After relocating to the US in 1979, Alexander spent time working in New York City before settling in Miami, where he established his first salon in the trendy neighborhood of Coconut Grove. Through his work at the salon and his exceptional relationships with his celebrity clientele, Alexander created the looks for many A-listers including Gloria Estefan, Julio Iglesias, Paloma Picasso, and the Miami Dolphin cheerleaders. Alexander has done extensive work with photographers and fashion models on South Beach, and his work has been featured in such magazines as the internationally acclaimed Hairdressers' Journal.
Alexander specializes in coloring, precision cuts and straightening techniques, and in addition to owning and operating his South Florida salons for more than 30 years, he is involved with many charity events and community outreach programs ……. including makeovers for women who are victims of domestic violence……..Alexander is also a highly regarded and sought-after public speaker on the topic of image…… and inner beauty.
