15th Anniversary Of Miami Fashion Week
Close to this season’s Miami International Fashion Week, let’s review the last one. In a colorful event held at the Miami Beach Convention Center, over 60 designers from more than 20 different countries showcased their latest creations. The public was stunned by some of the flawless fabrics seen on the runway from Tuesday, March 19 to Saturday, March 23, 2013.
Beth Sobol, President and Chief Executive Officer of Miami Fashion Week, along with co-owner and Managing Partner, Aaron Perry, were the hosts of a party embroidered with more than a hundred celebrity guests and thousands of attendees each of its five days. Miami’s runway is one of the five most important fashion events throughout the world and, not to stop there, the second edition of Miami Bridal Week and the birth of the new Fashion Collective Pop-Up Boutique Show were also celebrated.
This season, Brazilian couturier, Carlos Miele, won the International Designer of the Year Award, and Spanish bridal designer, Rosa Clará, was awarded the Bridal Designer of the Year.
Moreover, Viviana Gabeiras, from Venezuela, won the Humanitarian Award, and the also Venezuelan designer, Nicolas Felizola, was the recipient of the Miami Fashion ICON Award at the Miami Moda & Music Awards.
Those wanting Miami Fashion seconds will have to wait until May 2014 to fulfill their fashion craving.
