The Fashion Business Association of America Foundation works to further charitable, philanthropic and educational initiatives on issues that are of specific concern to the international fashion design and creative arts community and to promote, develop and teach activities that benefit the creative and commercial aspects of the fashion sector in general through quality programming and training.
About the FBAAF:
The Fashion Business Association of America Foundation (FBAAF – renamed in 2015 from the Miami Fashion Week Foundation) is an independent, not-for-profit organization founded in 2008.
The FBAAF works to educate and mentor students and emerging designers studying and working within the creative arts through personal development and educational opportunities and activities presented by a variety industry professionals as well as an annual on-line design competition.
The FBAAF annually hosts a variety of events to raise scholarship funds that will benefit the emerging designers and students studying fashion design, fashion photography, jewelry making, handbag design and graphic arts who are the winners of the competitions.
The competition winners receive prizes including mentoring and internships, as well as a cash scholarship from the FBAAF and recognition on the organizations official web site as part of their award.
The Fashion Business Association of America Foundation is a tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(C)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code and supports education within the creative arts.
